REBECCA MENICHELLA

Rebecca is an Italian vintage curator and the mind behind Rubina Bizarre Boudoir, a project where her personal collection becomes a shared wardrobe.

OO: Your nonna is the most stylish 90-year-old on Instagram. What’s one fashion lesson you’ve learned from her?
REBECCA: Elegance is never loud. And lipstick fixes everything.
OO: What’s one rule you always break?
REBECCA: Seasonality. I’ll wear leather in July if the look calls for it.
OO: Nonna’s best style advice?
REBECCA: Never leave the house in a bad mood or bad shoes.
OO: If your wardrobe had a soundtrack…?
REBECCA: A bit of Mina, a bit of Bossa Nova, and some disco.
OO: What’s always in your bag?
REBECCA: A silk scarf, a roll-on perfume oil, and receipts from flea markets.
OO: A vintage piece you regret not buying?
REBECCA: A Ferragamo trench from the 70s. It fit like a dream and I still think about it.
